Discover one of the best easy mango dessert recipes with Mango Sago, a delightful and refreshing treat made with ripe mangoes, sago pearls, and creamy coconut milk, perfect for hot summer days.

Ingredients (6)

2 ripe mangoes, peeled and diced

1/2 cup small sago pearls

1 cup coconut milk

1/4 cup condensed milk

1/4 cup sugar

2 cups water

Steps (6)

1

Cook Sago: In a pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add the sago pearls and cook for about 10-15 minutes until they turn translucent. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking. Once cooked, drain and rinse under cold water. Set aside.

2

Prepare Mango Puree: In a blender, combine half of the diced mangoes with the coconut milk, condensed milk, and sugar. Blend until smooth.

3

Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, mix the cooked sago pearls with the mango puree. Stir well to combine.

4

Chill: Refrigerate the mixture for at least 1 hour to let the flavors meld and to chill the dessert.

5

Serve: Divide the chilled mango sago into serving bowls. Top with the remaining diced mangoes.

6

Garnish: Optionally, garnish with mint leaves or a sprinkle of toasted coconut flakes for extra flavor and presentation.

Additional tips

  • Mango Variety: Use sweet and ripe mangoes like Alphonso or Ataulfo for the best flavor.
  • Consistency: Adjust the thickness of the dessert by adding more or less coconut milk according to your preference.
  • Serving: Serve chilled for the best taste. You can also add ice cubes for an extra refreshing touch.
  • To make more: double the ingredients.
